Gunnedah Bulldogs Season Launch
“The Dogs are back”. That was the war cry echoing from the Gunnedah Bulldog’s Rugby League camp, following their successful 2011 season launch that was held at the Gunnedah Services & Bowling last Friday night.
With a large crowd of supporters, players, officials and sponsors in attendance, as well as special guest, ex Newcastle Knights representative Matt Parsons along with his wife Tracey, who had answered the Bulldog’s late call following the last minute withdrawal of fellow Newcastle knights Steve Simpson, Billy Peden & Luke Quigley: due to family commitments, the Bulldog’s 2011 season launch amplified the incredible community support that has been slowly rebuilding in preparation for the forthcoming Group 4 season.

Thanks to Phil Sigsworth for organising the Signed NSW State of Origin Jersey.

Under the guidance of ex local junior, Newcastle Knight & French international James Wynne, as captain-coach, ably assisted by another Bulldog’s legend in John Lennan, as well as fellow coaches Phillip Donnelly, Wayne Griffith and David Harris, the Gunnedah Rugby League Club is determined to return to their glory days. Not just in the junior grades, where they have enjoyed a great deal of success over the past years, but in all four grades, with their sights firmly set on winning the 2011 Group 4 Club Championship.
