Condobolin Western Division
(Saturday 16 - Monday 18, 2008)

The Aussie Sport Skills Team visited Condobolin Rams JRLFC on Sunday August 17, 2008 to introduce the Skills Testing Program to the rugby league community...

A great day was enjoyed by parents, committee members and players who turned up to give the demonstration session a go.

The Aussie Sport Skills Contest (ASSC) is designed to test the skill level of rugby league players in 6 events...
the 40 metre sprint,
the punt kick,
the goal kick,
the field goal,
the grubber kick,
& pass the ball.

The ASSC is a non contact contest that allows the club to identify the strengths and weaknesses of individual age groups in the club. It also allows the players to practice their skills at home and encourages a more active and healthy lifestyle.

The ASSC can also be introduced into the local school as a promotion for junior rugby league in the town.

The Sport Pathways Team also visited the local high school to present a sport pathway talk and introduce the students to some fitness, team building and rugby league drills.
